About

Hello lovely followers, let me tell you a little about my life.

I am Lauren Shababy and I am 27.

I married my best friend 3 (almost 4) years ago on March 24, 2012 at the Athens (Georgia) Botanical Gardens Day Chapel. My husband's name is Jordan Shababy. He is incredibly handsome, loves the Lord and can make me laugh harder than anyone I know. He gets me. He is definitely my better half, and I'm thankful the Lord allowed me to be his wife!

I became a mom on August 14, 2014 to the sweetest, most handsome little man named Liam. He has brought so much joy into the lives of everyone that meets him or just sees his pictures/videos on social media. He has such a contagious smile and laughter, and I am thankful to be called his "mama".

Our sweet baby girl, Camille was born February of 2016. She is our sugar and spice...she really is the sweetest girl but also is FULL of sass! Camille is the big blessing we didn't know we were missing in our family!

Our kids are 18 months apart and the best of buds!

Jordan and I met thanks to my dad, who is a pastor.
My dad was preaching at a funeral for a sweet lady (who happened to be the grandmother of Jordan's good friend Austin).
Jordan was there playing keyboard at the funeral (he's an incredibly talented pianist/composer!) At the graveside, Jordan and dad got to talking about music, ministry and family.
Of course it came up that I was single and help lead worship at church and love music.
Dad, impressed by Jordan's heart, threw out a, "If you want to date my daughter, you can fill out an application!"

Jordan laughed it off, a week later couldn't get that silly suggestion out of his head, and added me on Facebook. After talking on there a good bit, he came to Athens (where I lived at the time) and took me downtown for a lunch date (yes lunch date...haha).
It felt like we had known each other forever, and our lunch date turned into a 5 hour hangout downtown Athens, Georgia. We dated long distance about 10 months (he lived about 40 minutes from me...not too bad, but way too far when you're in love!)
I am so in love with Jordan and love our sweet little family of 3 (soon to be 4!)

I started this blog with the intention to share easy ways I like to save money, my ordinary life as a mama and wife and crafts/recipes that our family loves. Sometimes bloggers tend to make the women reading their blog feel insecure because their lives look so put together, adventurous, glamorous and perfect. I am certainly far from perfect...just a normal girl who has been shown grace from Jesus!
I want to be an encouragement to you lovelies and I hope you enjoy reading this blog!
Thank you for following!
